Build a confident home colour palette

A confident home does not use many colours — it uses a few colours well. The simplest way to get there is to choose one colour you genuinely love and build a small, deliberate palette around it.

Choose one anchor colour

Pick the shade you want to feel in the space. This becomes your anchor, and every other decision supports it rather than competing with it.

Draw it from something already in the room — a rug, a fabric, a piece of timber — so the palette feels connected instead of imposed.

Add two supporting shades

Choose a quiet neutral for the largest wall areas and one deeper accent for a feature wall, joinery or a single alcove. Three tones are usually enough for a whole home.

Carry the palette between rooms by changing the proportions rather than the colours. The result reads as one home, not a series of unrelated rooms.

Test at real scale

Small swatches mislead. Paint a generous patch, live with it for a day or two, and check it in morning, afternoon and artificial light.

When you are happy, our team can match the palette to the right Regal products for each surface.
